As you can see, it can be done in a lot of different ways. From lunch tables of four to editions with 50 people. How will you design your table?
Edition Amerongen
During the very first edition on 1 September 2024, a team of newcomers and people who have been living in the Netherlands for a long(er) time (‘locals’) provided a delicious lunch. 50 people joined us; 25 newcomers and 25 locals.
Under the beaming sun and with a band playing in the background, everyone found a spot and found each other. With the conversation cards on the table, great, open conversations started immediately. By swapping places for each course, many new connections were made. The afternoon ended with a quiz. All teams won prizes: (sponsored) tickets for various outings were handed out.
How did they proceed?
The participants met in smaller groups over the past few months during the activity won at the quiz. For instance, one team went on a pottery course, others went to the cinema or to the Volksbuurt and Diamond Museum. By arranging a time in advance for the participants to see each other again, we hope the bonds will be strong enough for them to keep in touch and learn from each other.
