We are a movement. ‘We’ is everyone who makes the Lunch & Link tables possible: participants, organisers, sponsors and partners.

Every Lunch & Link participant may pass on his/her ticket to the next enthusiast after participating in a table. In this way, Lunch & Link tables spread through the country and we will strengthen social cohesion in the Netherlands.

What we stand for
We believe in the power of human contact. That is why we bring together people who would not be likely to meet otherwise. With accessible and equal lunches, we create a place for connection, understanding and new friendships. The movement of these tables spreads like an oil slick through the Netherlands.
Vision
What we’re going for
Starting a movement in which lunches and connections spread like an oil slick through the Netherlands – from person to person. We reduce the distance from one another and thereby enlarge each other’s world. In this way, we strengthen social cohesion in the Netherlands.
Our core values
Lunch & Link works from a set of core values. This means that everyone participates based on these core values. Whether you are a participant, organiser or sponsor. Below you can read what these core values are. We have highlighted one of them. Our most important core value deserves the biggest stage.
Equality
Each participant is equal
All participants have an equal amount to give and learn. That said, there are differences; after all, equal is different from identical. No life course is the same and one participant will have a more difficult year or life behind them than another. That does not make them more or less human than anyone else.
Easily accessible
We are accessible. Both participating in a lunch as well as organising a lunch, we try to make it as easy as possible.
Inclusive
We are inclusive. People come in thousands of different sizes and colours. We try to reach and include as many people as possible.
Connecting
We connect. It couldn’t be any different if you work on breaking bubbles and building bridges.
Verbeter de wereld, begin bij…
Lunch & Link is inmiddels een beweging waar veel mensen op hun eigen manier aan bijdragen. Bijvoorbeeld door mee te lunchen, tafels te organiseren, een plekje voor een ander te sponsoren of ons gedachtegoed te verspreiden.
Hieronder lees je hoe die beweging in gang is gezet. En ja, die begon echt aan de keukentafel.
Op een zondagmiddag ergens aan een keukentafel in Amsterdam, uitten Chantal en Margot hun wens om de twee werelden waarin zij zich begaven, bij elkaar te brengen. Zowel het doel als de locatie was meteen duidelijk: de wereld(beelden) van mensen vergroten door mensen uit verschillende kringen met elkaar te laten kennismaken in Chantal haar tuin.
Waar het idee begon als een eenmalige ontmoeting in de tuin, groeide het uit tot een evenementen reeks met als ultieme doel verbinding als een olievlek door Nederland te verspreiden.
Nog diezelfde avond stuurde Margot een berichtje aan Sterre en Jet met de vraag zich aan te sluiten. En zo geschiedde. In de maanden die volgden bouwden Jet, Sterre en Margot het idee uit. Lunch & Link kreeg een naam, een slogan, een Google Drive en een plan van aanpak.
Het startschot van deze beweging werd gegeven op 1 september 2024, de dag dat de eerste en zonovergoten editie van Lunch & Link werd gehouden.
